Dog nipped me thats what i get for getting her excited. We were playing fetch all nicely in the back yard and i guess her tooth caught my arm.She was trying to drag my arm in her gums so it wasnt malicious.

That is obviously your choice but even if your cats live long healthy lives that isnt anymore than a coincidence.

All of those health conditions can occur in any animal regardless of diet. Alot of people pushing these ultra expensive foods do have alterior motives for doing it.

I've researched it and that is just how I feel. I am not saying cats eating dry food can not live long healthy lives. But, from what I've read and experienced first hand canned food is healthier.

I also believe dry food is the root cause of many of these cases of urinary blockages in male cats.

Also, the DVM on that website is not pushing any certain brand of food, just that it be any type of canned food over dry food. She makes it clear a few times, including here:

The waste products that they wont even use for chicken mcnuggets or in sausages are what end up in pet food. Since the pet food industry isnt well regulated who knows what crap is stuck in the can as an animal by product.

Sorry to hear about your cat. You do have to be careful, especially with animals that have a medical condition. Remember when the pet food from China that killed and sickened all those animals. Sad. You also have the option of making their food from scratch. It's more labor intense but can be cost effective and you control the ingredients. http://www.catinfo.org/?link=makingcatfood

People are very attached to their pets. I guess everyone needs to make their own decision on how to care for their animal.

His poops are runny now but maybe thats part of the antibiotic we are giving him and he doesnt seem to be peeing alot. But his bladder doesnt feel distended or full so maybe he doesnt normally pee much. He doesnt want to leave the seclusion of our bathroom even with door open. He looks out the door wanders on landing and then goes straight back in.

Wet food as being ultra expensive? If so I can't exactly agree with you there. I can go to Sams and pick up a 36 pack of Fancy Feasts for $18. That's about 50 cent a can. If I gave one can per day that's $18 a month and if I did it every other day then that's $18 every two months. One could argue there is too much filler in wet food but hell there are arguments there are too many fillers in dry food also so there really is no real winner unless you go with an all natural food. And yeah that's when it does get expensive.
