Sony KDL55EX640 55" Class LED HDTV - 1080p, 16:9, HDMI, USB, Wi-Fi, Motionflow XR 240, Internet TV - $998 w/ FS AC

I own this TV minus the wifi dongle (so the model number is slightly different but it is the 55" EX line). The picture is great and it is very thin. I have never had any problems with uneven lighting across the screen (which can happen in edge-lit LED TVs). What I do hate about this TV is the software. I don't know if the processor is terrible or what, but once you turn the TV on, sometimes you can't immediately change the volume or change the input/source (a message pops up saying the TV is still turning on). Or sometimes the command does go through but then a minute later, for no reason at all, the TV suddenly reboots. These issues only present themselves when starting up the TV, once its on for more than a few minutes, it works flawlessly. It's only on occasion that the software lags, but when it does, it is incredibly annoying. Having said all that, I think in terms of value (compared to the price of an equivalent Samsung) I am still quite happy with my purchase.

Also, it should be noted that I have tried firmware updates and though the frequency of the issue has gone down, it has yet to be completely diminished.

It is common problem in sony TV. i have 40" and i am having same problem but other than tv is great i am great fan of sony in TV.

yep, I agree. Happens with my TV too, I have the 55HX820 model.

60Hz refresh rate? doesnt that mean there will be alot of blur?
