Car dealership has man arrested after they undercharge him for a new car

When he exchange the blue one to the black one, the blue car is not brand new anymore, did he pay more to get the black car then?

He traded his black one for a blue one. It's not unheard of for dealerships to let someone have a car for 24 or even 48 hours for a test drive, so it could easily still qualify as new.

Anyway, sounds more like the dealership had a civil court case, not a criminal case. Having the guy arrested for "stealing" the car? I think this guy is going to get a 10 or $20k payday.

2.2m= seems reasonable enough. the sales manager should be fired though.

Way back in the day...these idiots at the Dealership let a buddy of mine drive off the lot with a new Geo (can't remember what the model was ??STORM??) while the financing went through.

So Paul is so happy to get a new car that he drives it all over Saturday...gets gas that night and drives all over CA Sunday...fills up the car again...

Monday the dealership calls with bad news, They can't get him financed @ the agreed upon price, so they want the car back.

He's bummed, but drives back to the dealership to surrender the car.

Dealership pukes check the mileage and find out that he put 600 or 700 miles on the car since Friday Night!!!

The car is by CA Law = USED!
They can't sell it to someone else now as a NEW Car!!!

They wind up lowering the price to what his Credit can afford!
