Thread Details

Found this Husky 20 Gallon Vertical Air Compressor on clearance at our local Home Depot for just $134. In store clearance sign shows regular price of $199. Can be found online for $179, but not in stock online. Link provided for product reference. YMMV This is in store only.

We were needing this for a recent project where our pancake compressor could not keep up. Pricing for similar items at Lowes and Sears, etc, is closer to $300. For us, it is a great deal. Don't forgot to use that 10% off coupon from Lowes. (Our last coupon....Our local post office no longer has these! Sob, sob.)

For those of you in larger Home Depot markets, the price may be lower. Our store is always higher priced on clearance items than the deals posted here. Hope you can find a lower one!

***This is new, not factory reconditioned.***

Is this good for winterizing the sprinkler system?
Quote from chocolate4me View Post :
According to the reviews on the Home Depot website, several people bought it for the purpose of winterizing their sprinkler systems.
I bought a refurbished one few months ago for winterizing the sprinkler system.

Maybe I will go and check.
Found a store with two - one in the box and one display. Snagged the one in the box for $107.20 + tax with the 20% Harbor Freight coupon.

Yeah!

True that, but much cleaner/easier for an average home owners garage.

Every Home Depot I have ever been to in Saint Louis takes them.
I think you just need to have one in your town and they should accept them.

First time buying a husky with a 1 year warranty. Should a 2 year replacement be added. Just wondering, if oilless will be a problem??

This is my 1st compressor. Any tips to do or not? I don't want to cause an early death

haven't had a significant hurricane in NE Florida since 1964, I'll take that trade off vs frozen pipes and shoveling snow

Florida can get cold, freeze sits in and kills your budding fruit industry at times. If u leave water in something that's not expandable, like metal lines, or a pressure washer,it will expand, burst, or break upon freezing. So, we blow out the lines. Or, add an antifreeze agent to equipment.

Gotta love how we find those issues out after the damage.

Got one but it appeared to be a returned one. Is it still worthwhile to keep?

I got another one but that model # is: H1820FH, instead of H1820F. What is the difference?

I could see the H1820FH has two supports vs. one, and the handle is different.

Which one is newer?

Fortunately we don't seem to have long enough freezes to cause issues with sprinklers but I like this as another reason to get a new compressor... thanks slickdealers!
