this uses the LC75 Brother Generics, Meritline.com and Amazon sellers have the best prices. Usually about $1 per cart, and can recycle them for $2 per cart at Staples when you're done with them.

No printer trade in now, and this one (based on it's price) likely wouldn't qualify anyway. Usually has to be a printer with reg. price over $150.

I ruined my cannon prima using merit line ink haha. How's the quality of this printer? Do brothers last?

I've been researching this printer for a while, I think this is the one I'll get. I like that it does fax too and works with iPads & Airprint. The reviews seem more favorable than not at various sites. Also the official Brother brand ink is 14.99 for black, 9.99 retail for the 3 other cartridges and I've seen them on sale for lower before (9.99 black, 6.99 colors). For those wondering this printer does have a USB port, it is hidden though and you plug it in underneath the scanner bed and thread it out near the back.

I am also looking for a good AIO printer with cheap ink cartridges. I'm willing to spend upto $120 for a better quality but cheap ink is a must. And I just want to print documents and envelopes. I will not be printing photos. Have you come across anything that would fit my needs? Any recommendations for me?

Wow this is awesome. I was just telling my wife today how we need a new printer...If I'd seen this @ 69.99 shipped before this deal I probably would have gotten it....but for $60 bucks it's a no brainer for me.

I have the same needs as you so this is the one I've decided on. I was also considering the Epson XP-400 (sm)All-in-One [staples.com] that is on sale this week for 69 because of it's inexpensive ink prices (almost same as this Brother) and it's very small footprint compared to most AIOs that are out there, but the person I'm buying it for would prefer to combine fax capability into the AIO. I like that both of these printer's retail ink prices are close to Costco's ink refill prices and could match or beat them when on sale.

I was looking for the following (besides the obvious slickdeal):

• wireless
• works with iPad [apple.com]
• warranty period at least a year (most hp ones are 90 days)
• stand alone copying
• fax
• cheap ink

If you do not need the copy/scan function than I'd say go with laser printer, but laser AIO are still quite a lot of moola.

Great thread, thanks. I just took back an Epson Workforce 545 that would not install the scan drivers on my Windows Vista system. After spending 2 hours online with Epson they told me to call Microsoft. Back to Staples it went....

I have a Staples warranty cash card so that's why I've been looking at them, will be interesting to see what OD and OM do for Columbus Day and if any coupons pop up to sweeten it, the spend $50 get $10 back in rewards that seems to be in select markets would make it nicer but it's not in my market.
