It's 8 pins mirrored on both sides so the cable is reversible. So total really is 16 pins, which is correct.

Are you sure that's the promo buddybd was referring to? I do see the referral deal on the site, but referring friends - and waiting for them to make a purchase - isn't something I'm interested particularly in doing. buddybd specifically mentioned "october10dollarpromo" - I'm just wondering if that's something other than the referral bonus.

No I did not refer anyone to the site, and frankly I have no idea where the credit came from. I'll look into it more after I get home.

I was ready to buy it with just the $3 credit, at check out I noticed the price was just $1.95 with shipping. Checked out my Saveology dollars and the $10 credit was already there.

Just to be clear, this is the first time I bought anything from there, and I only signed up when that election promotion started.

No generics are available at this time. Preorders on eBay and amazon have a shipment estimates of November. But the cables haven't been reversed engineered yet.

Same here i got an email from Saveology saying i get $10 off for making a first purchase at saveology and i just signed up for it when the $3 credit was posted a little while ago. Comes out to $1.95 shipped

If there has to be 4 pages of concerns, I wouldn't risk my iPhone 5 over a $10 knock off
