Got two at a Sprint store in downtown DC, after a third call. The other two stores were out of stock. I could not find one in Apple store, AT&T store, and Sprint store in Tysons Corner Mall in Northern VA yesterday. Thanks a lot OP!!!
Anyone able to locate these cables at a Sprint shop north of Boston? I've called around since this promo began and every Sprint corporate/reseller shop within a 25-mi radius said they haven't even received their first shipment of lightning cables.
Hey, I'm a happy iPhone owner but we all know you get ripped off in cell stores when you buy cables. And I don't know about you, but I really don't like the fact that I have to buy new cables/an adapter, the fact that Apple charges a premium for a cheap cable and that they don't even include an adapter with the iPhone. Just giving my $0.02 - I think some Apple criticism is justified.
To be fair these aren't the industry standard dumb cables. A simple cable takes every bit from pin 1 on one side and outputs to pin 1 on the other. No logic required.
This cable has a routing chip, often incorrectly called an authentication chip. This allows lightning to be dynamic and adaptive to be future proof. Being reversible is just the beginning.
Got two with 20% off...I am on AT&T.. Walked into sprint store..Asked for the deal...Rep asked me for sprint number ..so gave him my friends sprint number (He has a galaxy S3) ..Walked out with the cables. Total $31 for two.
