Also, keep in mind there's a version with DLC included coming out, but 16 dollars + 15 =31 will probably be cheaper than what it retails for at release.

I loved both this game and Demon's Souls. I look forward to the DLC when it comes out because I will definitely be buying that.

I don't think I ever saw a DLC package with the original Demon's Soul and doubt we will see one for the sequel. Its already cheap too lol

I thought the DLC was from PSN only, haven't read any reports of them re-releasing the entire game again with the updated content like PC.

I know they are releasing boxed versions overseas. (non US regions). I don't believe it was ever clear if they were releasing it here or not.

and DJ3xclusive, there is definitely DLC coming out. It's the extra content from the PC version in DLC format for consoles. Artorias of the Abyss is the title of the DLC.

Ah you know it just hit me that there's is one i saw from GMG "Prepare To Die Edtiion". Thanks for the headsup! It might be awhile before they release the game w/ DLC in one package. At $16 bucks great price and you can always grab one of those live points when on sale and purchase it on the cheap

So, is this pretty similar to Demon's Souls in terms of difficulty? I really stunk at that game and it became kinda frustrating.

The 1024x768 resolution Prepare to Die Edition was a huge letdown for PC users - until some total rockstar released his own patch that lets you set the graphics at whatever you want. The results were amazing.

On topic, I actually liked DeS better than DkS, but I think that was because of the initial experience shock. That said, for 16 bucks, this is worth every penny. I paid full price at release and easily put over 200 hours in over 3 different character builds.

Yup. In some ways it is harder and in some slightly "easier". There is no Nexus in this one, but there are campfires instead at multiple locations for one thing. If Demon's Souls frustrated you, this certainly will too.

They made it harder by putting checkpoints in this one if that makes sense. By putting a checkpoint halfway to a boss they can make the boss a lot harder. So you'll fight some of the bosses probably 10 times or more.

On a side note one personal difference I had between this and demon souls was that for my first playthrough I didn't look up strategies or anything for Dark Souls. I ended up missing a lot of things but it was far more rewarding than just reading what to do. Then I read strategies and item locations for my next playthrough.
