1080p vs. 720p 7730m vs. hd 3000 And it was cheaper. Of course, you're trading some bulk away with performance loss. The XPS 13 Ultrabook does have a good battery life, much better than the ISE 15. Btw, thx for the reassurance. I have a history with Dell as well. My first computer was a Dimension 4700, which was a solid machine. I then went on and got a Latitude X200 followed by a Latitude X300. Then, I've been using a Thinkpad for the last few years. Unfortunately, after handling a Thinkpad, I've been spoiled. Even the Latitudes (supposedly business class) I had couldn't compare to the Thinkpad in terms of build quality. And the Thinkpad has a 1400 x 1050 IPS screen, which even today is considered a good screen (and that makes me sad). Last edited by umustwait101; 10-07-2012 at 11:17 PM.. |

15r SE is blue collar beast but do not expect XPS build but performance wise it got all the goods.
Around $600 you cannot get a better spec 15 laptop. |

Just called Dell customer service and was offered $60 refund for $863 purchase. Got a fully loaded (i7/8 GB RAM/32 GB mSATA/1 TB HDD/1080p screen/BD ROM) ISE 15R with 3 years extended warranty. Can't be more happier.
One question though. Did anyone receive ISE 15R already? My order got shipped only today. If I look the shipping email, it says that the laptop does not have Backlit keyboard whereas order confirmation email shows it. Can anyone confirm? |

BTW if they deny and cancel the order (rarely happens), be ready for it. We will always find deals on Dell Outlet unless you need the laptop immediately. |
