DO NOT BUY THIS. I recently got this off Amazon and returned it 3 days later cause of the freeze issues. Just google "g75 freeze" and you will see what I mean.
I ended up returning it and getting a G55 instead, and have had no problems with it |

Dang it... I bought a refurb G74 BBX8 (sub HD screen instead of full HD, 1TB HD space, only 2 months warranty) for $800 a month ago. Would have liked this more since it has a full warranty and isn't stripped down (though it only has a 5400RPM HD?). It even has the sub for audio (obviously not going to shake any rooms, but it actually helps sound quality quite a bit) though I don't think any G74s had the sub.
Oh well...:-/ |

15.6" screen < 17" GTX 660M video card WAY better than Intell HD 4000. Like, NO comparison here. GTX, full on gaming. HD 4000, good for Word and Excel. Those are the two big ones that jumped out at me. |

As far as specs go its solid for a gaming laptop. If portability is not an issue then by all means this a solid deal. Personally I wouldn't recommend gaming on a laptop but if you have to then this is ok

ASUS DOES NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. LAST TIME I'M PURCHASING AN ASUS AND HAVE TO WARN OTHERS!!!
I contact Asus before my warranty ends and tell them when it ends and have a failed power supply. Asus contacts me back after my warranty and says you're out of warranty. I explained that I had a two year warranty which was confirmed by Asus 6 months earlier. I provide them this email and they are ignoring me now. I'M SO PISSED!!! |
