Seems like Onkyo has had HDMI problems for generations.

While there may be people experiencing the same issues, there are 8 times as many who haven't experienced them and are perfectly happy with their equipment.
Telling someone to not post a deal because you take issue with it is tantamount to anarchy!

As is the case with every deal posted here, it is up to each individual person to do their due dilligence and decide if the deal is right for them. Personally, I own 2 Onkyo models, one from 2011 and one from 2012, and have not experienced any issues at all. If I do encounter something, my warranty insurance will take care of them.

You do not get it. Warranty will not help you because there is no fix for it.
I used to be Onkyo owner Few years ago Onkyo was great but now it is just shitty company. Trust me I try 3 515 and 1 616 all of them had issue with HDMI.
I just try to warn people Save them time and money.
I have never done that with other products I know sometime you can get bad stuff but with Onkyo you can not even get them to fix this crap

I do get it - You have had an extremely bad experience with Onkyo' 2012 products and you do not like, nor do you recommend them to others. That's perfectly okay. My experience has been different and am happy with what I have.

9/43 (20%) reviews on Amazon gave the 515 1 out of 5 stars for the very problem you mention. There have been 2 firmware updates pushed out and have solved this problem for many people; but not all.

I'm not trying to dismiss your experiences as irrelevant or unqualified, I just think a blanket statement to "not post any deals on 2012 Onkyo products" may be a bit overreaching - that's all.
