Watch out this phone has problems with connecting to LTE. They don't know if its hardware or software issue. Checkout the xda forums where the compare this to the Samsung S3 LTE connection. The. s3 finds the LTE easier than the EVO. I wish I could return mine.

unless you root the phone and flash it with a custom rom, the phone's multitasking, or lack thereof, makes it the worst phone i've owned in the past 2 years. amongst 5 lines on my family plan, i've used the hero, bb tour, moment, optimus s, evo 4g, evo 3d, gs1, gs2, gs3, photon, ip4, ip4s, etc...basically all the latest phones.
HTC designed sense 4.0 with some crazy memory management which seriously makes the phone unusable. anytime you switch apps, the ram is cleared (supposedly to save battery life) so whenever you switch back to that app, the data reloads. so for example, if you're browsing on a webpage and halfway done reading it but get a text, by the time you're done responding to the text and want to switch back to the browser, the page reloads and you have to read it from the start again. the same goes with facebook and flipboard...basically any app. and since sprint's data is so bad, often times when the app reloads, i don't have any data reception. this is especially frustration on facebook when you're halfway browsing a timeline, but it when it gets reloaded without a strong signal, it says connection error. and even if there was reception, the newsfeed reloads to the beginning. not only is that multitasking annoying, but it wastes data (at least sprint is unlimited). and good luck trying to download offline maps from google maps unless you plan on staying on that app for the whole download. if you switch apps and wait for the background download, once you switch back to the google map program, the download starts all over again. i sold the evo lte and got the gs3 and haven't been happier. never again to HTC. |

On the OP.. I've had sprint since August 9 of this year, company phone (galaxy s3) I've made 521 calls to Sprint Tech Support, 14 visits in store (never have I met such rude snotty bitches in 'customer service', in person) and 3 complaints to the FCC later.. still nothing Not once has Sprint offered any kind of remediation (I do pay a part of this bill) solution, resolution, insight, or even help. I cant even open a damn google webpage! I can't text, I can't even call 911. My company has gotten so annoyed with my calls (they have the securityplus feature, every time I call Sprint they email my company) that they sent me a text last night telling me to stop calling Sprint and to call them instead because Sprint can't help. I dont care how good the line is or the 'unlimited data' its POINTLESS if you can't use it! ABANDON SHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn sorry SD is having a problem for me tonight.

i was at my wit's end with sprint too until they just turned on the LTE towers in my area (north chicago suburbs) and all of a sudden its awesome... I came from the old EVO and originally upgraded to the S3. after a week with the S3 i just wasnt happy with the crappy touchwiz ui and exchanged it for the EVO 4g LTE and it is perfect for me! really solid build, that AWESOME kickstand, battery life is plentiful enough, and the antenna just gets better signal than the S3. apparently i was the first person at the best buy i went to to ever exchange an S3 for the EVO LTE tho.

I just switched to T-Mobile. Sprint neglected their network for years and not it's just trash compared to others. |
