customer for over 10 yrs, nada ever. But I did get in on that 50% off Shell discount a couple years back. That $600 dollars worth of free gas was sweet. Lasted me the whole summer with a bunch of camping trips.

However, the cashback incentives are only good if you pay the card off every month. Otherwise the Discover interest rates are a bit higher than my other card. |

I've been a Discover customer for many years. Never received an offer like this. I have, however, been offered a $500 cashback bonus 2 times (different cards) if I spend $3k per month for 6 months, which is easy for me to do. I really like cashback bonus and shop discover!

Discover gives me the big fat finger on all their promotions, but I net around $300/mo in cash back from shopdiscover.com so it's not all doom and gloom. Maybe they know I'm not going anywhere.

They notify you in your email and give you the period to use I think it's 5 days. They give you the end date to use it by. |

They use to up my credit limit fairly regularly, but I think the realized that i only ever shop their 5% cashback categories, and put the rest on the chase freedom card to get more cashback... Although i think i already have hit the 5% limit for this quarter... so much for using that near christmas time.

That was the end of last summer... I got over $2000 in GC's on that and sold them making about $900 profit (Shell gas is very expensive in these parts). I was hoping they'd do something similar this summer.... but apparently not. |
