When you copy multiple lines (delimited by a hard enter, not just a line wrap) from, say, a website, and you paste it into an excel (Mac, Excel 2011) spreadsheet, it automatically splits the paste by lines into separate rows of the same column. Is it possible to have excel split the paste by lines into separate columns of the same row instead?
I've spent some time searching the web for an answer, but couldn't find anything that worked for me. If you have a solution to my problem, that would be terrific! Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks! Saw this yesterday, but couldn't figure it out because it wasn't working (possibly because of the shortcut differences between Mac and Windows). After further research, was able to figure out how to do it without a shortcut, just by using Edit->Paste Special->Transpose option. My next question would've been how to make scrolling easier along the original y-axis (now along the x-axis because of the transposition), and have found that holding Shift while scrolling (at least on a Mac) scrolls horizontally.
