This is the email I got when I complained about the refund wait -
Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting the EVGA Customer Service Team. My name is Chris Sansalone and I will be answering your question today. Answer: Hello XXXXX, The second email is just a standard refund timeframe for regular orders, you can ignore that. For this issue the refunds are being issued immediately. It may take a business day or two for it clear back through the bank. I do apologize for any inconvenience. Regards, EVGA |

I have had so many orders cancelled because of mistakes...BUT several have gone through that were mistakes, so its certainly worth the gamble if they had honored it... |

, no reason to by k series in the first place. I had a 5GHz OC on my 2600k and could go a bit farther, but took more tweaking than I was willing to invest my time in, so stayed with that. I have gotten my 3770k to 4.725GHz, and it out performs my 5GHz 2600K in both synthetic enchmarks as well as my own tests (compression, transcoding times, etc.) so I think the 3770k is also faster clock for clock.Wen the next generations come out (which have new pin outs, ugg), I will see if it is worth the upgrade again, but I doubt it, my 3770k build I am pretty happy with, latest gen SAS card with 18TB volume and 512GB SSD r/w cah in front, 2xSSD (Samsung) for boot, 690GTX for gaming and for cuda core processing (hope more programmers start including support for that, so much untapped POWER!)... I can play any game I want at the highest settings at 2560x1440, I think this rig will last for a while. I don't regret getting the 3770k, especially since I flipped the 2600K for almost what I paid for the 3770K (made a profit after selling the Asus P77-VDeluxe that i got in the bundle with the 3770K at Microcenter. That is something else to think about I guess, if you want the new stuff and are OK with reselling... then net difference isn't much if you can sell locally and not have to pay the crazy fees on the resale sights nowadays. Regards,
Mike C. |
