Just because Newegg sent out an email listing this as a deal, does not mean that it is an actual deal, nor anything close to slick.

In all fairness, this is the desktop upgrade kit, which has only dropped below $100 once before. So in terms of historical pricing, yes this is slick if someone's willing to pay a premium for the convenience of the extra pieces.

I literally just installed the 256gb version in a Sony VAIO, and its uploading the OS right now. For those who have used Samsung SSDs, should I use the CD that came with the SSD to update any firmware or is it good straight out the box.

Reliability report for the drive itself and it is reported that Norton Ghost is included and incompatible! So I'd just go with the plain drive especially if I already had a cable converter adapter.
