If any issues, can I return the phone to an AT&T branch? I just do not trust CSR. I'd rather see something in writing on their website. Also how long shipping is supposed to take? Thanks!

Yup, factory unlock via iTunes.
You pay them on Ebay,
They e-mail you a link to their website.
You login with your e-mail.
The website shows how many "Unlock Credits" you have.
You fill out the info (IMEI #, Carrier, Model).
They send you a notice in a couple hours telling you that your phone is unlocked and ready to be restored on iTunes.

As for what Apple will do, just tell them you called AT&T and they unlocked it for you. Worst comes to worse, you're only out ~$7 in exchange for a brand new phone Smilie
