Refurb Apple iPhone 4S 64 GB for AT&T (no contract) for $499 + free shipping

All dead. So sad. I wanted to get 2 more for friends and family.

Regardless if this is dead or not, this whole deal from the beginning is a bait by ATT to get folks to bite and then either keep the service or charge for activation and other fees. With the 3 days cancellation and all the hoopla I doubt ATT wanted to sell the refurb iPhone 4s with no committment from the beginning.

I got in just now although had it already loaded. Just had to click button. Maybe for the worse. We'll see what happens. Agreement says you have to return purchased equipment if you cancel within 3 days.

And the small print on the phone page says Contract and no commitment phones must agree to a plan so....

I wouldn't doubt if I have to return this phone when I cancel in 2 days.

Still showing $299 for white phone.

Good catch. Seems like they overpriced the 16GB Black. This is really a bad deal. Why is it slick ?

You end up with activation fees, unlock issues and maybe restocking fees.

I heard people bought the galaxy nexus from google and arent forced into smartphone plans when its obviously a smartphone or use the unlimited nonsmart phone data plan for much cheaper
does anyone know what I need to do to make my phone work like this?

lame. att cancelled my order

did a whole chat log through att online sales...IF YOU DON'T ACTIVATE THE PHONE YOU WILL NOT GET CHARGED ANYTHING ELSE OTHER THAN THE PHONE PRICE. You have to call to activate the phone...if you don't activate it then you're not using it with their service and thus you will incur no charges other than the price of the phone!

I received my confirmation at 8:01 central time. Haven't received a cancel email yet.

So, in other word, dont do squat when you get the phone? or call and tell them i want to cancel the whole deal but keeping the phone?

I also asked why it says **2 yr and no commitment pricing require voice agreement with qualifying monthly data plan required** and I was told that means that you would need to have a voice plan and data plan if you did decide to ACTIVATE the phone with AT&T.

Keep in mind that if you don't activate the phone how are they going to charge you a monthly fee? Your phone isn't even activated remember..

I hope this is the case; would make it a lot more convenient. Think they can still unlock a phone that was never activated?
