Um, but thats irrelevant?

Did the person I was responding to request a specific carrier phone for under $420?
And did I say which carrier it was specifically at any point?
What is the point of comparing phones with different features??? A CDMA only iphone would not have much resale value. Like a CDMA only GS3. Only an international GSM phone has good resale value. This is slickdeals, everyone here should know that already.

I hope this is the case; would make it a lot more convenient. Think they can still unlock a phone that was never activated?
Of course, why wouldn't they be able to? You give them the IMEI and plug it into itunes and it's unlocked with another carrier.

if it's unlocked, you should be fine.

I was told no activation was needed..just submit your imei # and wait for an unlock

I'm going to do more research on this.

I spoke to a CSR online about activating the phone and avoiding the fees. Here is what he/she said.

Me: I will be happy to pay for the phone, but is there any way at all to avoid the first monthly bill?
Rep: If you don't want to be charge for the first bill then the time that you receive the phone and have it activated that would be the time also that you need to cancel the service. Or you just need to pay the days you use the service. Activation fee of $36.00 can be waived within 3 days after the activation only.

Do you think the phone comes with a microsim? I currently am with T-mobile value plan and I want to put my sim card in, but it's too big because it's a normal sized sim card.

If it doesn't come with a microsim, does anyone know of a way to acquire a microsim for cheap?

Goto Tmo retail store. Tell them you need replacement sim card to use the i4S. They "should" give for free.

it is refurbished but, the phone should come with an AT&T branded micro sim since you selected a plan and were given' a phone number. I'm almost positive it will...either way you need a micro sim from t-mobile..if you go in store and request one they will try and charge you the outrageous fee of $30..the key is to call tmobile and tell them you need a new sim because you got a new phone and have them put in the notes that you will pick it up at your local tmo store...then it will be free.

Just cut your sim, search for templates or youtube it. Plenty of help out there. They even sell a sim cutter tool.

Does it mean I activate it cancel it and get it unlocked, instead of just get it unlocked without activation? I hope an unactivated phone but unlocked will work on another carrier without any more activation.

So it sounds like some people are saying cancellation after 3-days is only necessary 3-days after activation? And you can avoid needing to do that by not activating?

For those who have already called to cancel the plan, did they mention anything about the phone needing to be activated first?
