I've heard the One S also has a bug that makes the screen go crazy if you lose reception, or get a week signal. Is that still the case?

Look guys as someone who has owned the s2 s3 and currently the One S...they all have their strengths and weaknesses their is yet to be a perfect phone in my opinion. Overall the engineering of the One S is what keeps me around coupled with the high quality materials and the size it offers. At first I was in love with galaxy screens and still am. But the size just wasn't convenient nor were the ergonomics of the phone if you will. Also the build quality of the Samsung and the wieght and just the overall plasticky feel left me desiring more. If they can fix the glitches I wrote about above I'd be pretty satisfied with the One s. I like to compare it to a porsche or other exotic type car because with its beauty and design comes it set backs such as the battery not being removable nor added storage. Ah fark it I never really needed a back seat anyway. The design of the phone is sleek sexy and gorgeous. Good Luck |

One of the best phones I've owned. It replaced my Epic 4G Touch (Galaxy SII with Exynos). The only drawback that you should be aware of is the pentile screen. The resolution is pretty high for the screen size, so it's not a huge issue. I'm a screen snob, and find this panel perfectly acceptable.
Battery life is about double the GSII. Screen is brighter. It's also lighter (of course, smaller). I think it is the perfect screen size (exactly why I passed on One X) - large enough for videos and browsing but small enough to easily navigate and type with the thumb of the hand holding the phone. Sense 4 is great. Really. Once you rip all T-Mobile bloatware out, of course.Best camera I've seen in a smartphone. Filters are quick and effective, Panorama is really neat (especially the way it helps you position the phone for next frame). I'm running TrickDroid 8.0 and don't have any issues with WiFi. Currently, I cannot get Pandora sync via BT to work right with my Kenwood stereo. Stock firmware didn't work either. GSII worked fine. In just regular BT more it works great but I really wish I could thumb up/down from the deck though :/ P.S. Got this phone from T-Mobile for $50 after $50MIR. It was actually free for a couple of weeks back in August. |

PS It is a better deal to buy the nexus outright from google (300/350) than with with a plan from tmobile. PPS If you want to stay post paid, the s3 can be had for free from tmobile. http://slickdeals.net/f/5462362-F...e-Nov16-17 Last edited by explore777; 11-11-2012 at 01:18 AM.. |
