I actually was going to buy the LG too, but both of these models are nicer. The maytag even has a convection option. I'm going in tomorrow to make my purchase.

Too bad the white version is still over $1100. We are actually in the market for a new range but we need to match the other appliances.

No convection is a deal breaker for me. I'm in the market for one. My brother has a convection and it amazes me how much faster and better it cooks.

The LG is convection as well, I'm actually surprised the Whirlpool isn't.

Can you lay out for me how these are nicer? I'm looking at the specs but don't see much of a difference. Unless you mean aesthetically (and obviously price-wise, since there's a ~$300 difference between the LG and Maytag)?

Just wanna make sure I'm making the right choice here lol.

I see now, you were probably comparing the $900 LG (LDE3011ST). I've been looking @ the $1300 (LDE3017ST).

The $900 Whirlpool and LG are comparable. The $1000 Maytag and $1300 LG are comparable. I think the Maytag and LG are basically the same, so the $300 is only for no knobs, more metal (since I think the Maytag has some plastic); basically aesthetics. That is unless I'm mistaken and I'm missing some features (Infrared cooking on the LG? Not sure how much that is worth).

I see...I was looking at the cheaper LG yesterday at BB....$300 is a huge difference...I'd go with the Maytag

I have had both makers of these double stoves in Whirlpool and LG. The LG models offer larger cook top sizes for pans and a blue enamel interior and better temp control. The Whirlpool seems to be built a little better but the LG models have a few more features on them in the end. I`ve been real happy with both and you cant go wrong with either. I have had Whirlpool Gold for 30 yrs and last remodel went LG on Stove, dishwasher, microwave and 30cf french door fridge and have been pleased so far...
The stainless steel does seem a little thinner on the LG model vs the Whirlpool. For the money the Whirlpool is a great buy right now....

BTW- I do have the LG LDE3017ST but paid about 900 for it on package deal when I bought all new LG appliances in the house...Paid 1700 after rebate for the fridge which was a killer deal too!!.
