Was looking for a wireless bridge and NAS/Print Server that could use the DD-WRT or Tomato Firmware but it looks like I need to hold out for the "SHARE MAX" model.

According to the DD-WRT website, the F7D7302 is supported:

USB might be slow though. I have the F7D8301, and the box says the F7D8301's USB transfer speed is 12 Mbits/s (1.5 MB/s). I would suspect the same for the F7D7302.

You probably already tried this, but if they are all connected to PCs, why not just use Printer Sharing so that they are all accessible through the network?

If you just share the printers on the computers they are connected to, they will be network printers, provided sharing is enabled on the other devices and the computer that they are connected to is turned on and connected to the network.

Anyways, if you haven't tried it, you might as well give it a shot.

Thanks. I knew about that but was looking for an easy way to print without having to have the PC on. But I tinkered around this morning and installed AirPrint and updated BonJour. Now I can print to the Brother printer via the wireless PC is is connected to. I have the laptop enabled so that it never sleeps or hibernates so I won't have to wake it to print. So far so good and cheaper (free) than buying this router or a new AirPrint enables laser printer. But thanks for your links, I actually used those before I even read your response. LOL! Repped!

Thank you poetuan, it's a very good suggestion.
However, I do not think my TV and receiver will need more than 100mps.
And I want Tomato on this thing and the chance to have it a a backup router.

And USB/BT are both very nice to have.

I had one. The version I had support Tomato.

Even with Tomato, it's not worth it.

Pathetically slow router. USB support is there, but the speed is unbearable. Never got USB printing to work on it.

Had it with a Asus RT-16N, as extended wireless router. It work okay as that for a while. Disconnect on wireless every now and then, which is quite annoying. After four months, it completely died. No lights, nothing. Leave it off for a day and plug it back in and it came back on... I'd rather pay a little extra for something a little more reliable and trouble free.

You have to click edit, and then click on advanced. That should take you to a place where you can edit both the post and the title.

I currently have a Belkin N1 router I bought in 2008. Would this new router be any better in any way than the one I have now considering we just use it for wireless internet for a few laptops in our 1000 square foot home? Would speed be increased? Any help is appreciated.
