I was going to say not impressed until I saw in the picture it being operated via a cigarette lighter which is handy, but on the flip side, for another $20 if, you can get a jump start kit with an air compressor which I personally find more handy. Probably not the same quality air compressor but neither is this from the reviews.

So wait, what kind of lighting deal is this? I just see an inflator, no lamps or bulbs.

It's more for the convenience, than anything else. Not all gas stations have coin-operated tire inflation stations. Also, if your tire is low or flat at home, driving to the gas station could be risky. With the automatic shutoff when it reaches the desired pressure, you could inflate your tire while waiting in the car. Depending on where you're from that alone could be worth it. Finally, people in the north have to refill air in the tires frequently during the winter seasons due to the low temperatures lowering the PSI of the tire significantly.
