The "flavorless" (expeller-pressed) coconut oil, I eat with beef and chicken. The beef I get (from the chow hall) tends to be pretty dry. So I'll heat it up in a dish with some coconut oil on it and it goes from being "meh" to being amazing. You can just dip it in, but I like to let it soak for a while. I should mention, though, that I'm on a ketogenic diet, so YMMV.

I know a lot of people using it in cooking, though.

you can also look up "bulletproof coffee" for another way to use it. if they mention using "MCT oil," coconut oil is a great choice for that (maybe not for some of the paleo/bulletprood purists, but...).

I look forward to getting some of the virgin (with the coconut taste) oil so I can add some flavor to chicken and coffee.

I use it primarily when scrambling eggs and when grilling steaks on a grill pan. Basically in place of butter or other oils.
