There are so many things wrong with your post... but I will just focus on one:

Not only is this statement horribly misspelled, but it is incorrect.

On one level: no one can know that fact for sure.

On another level: There are many that die waiting for a transplant (kidney, liver, heart, etc) that isn't available.

On another level: You completely ignore that there are some people who can only afford basic care and not specialized care that could help their condition...either because they are not rich enough to pay for it, they have already bankrupted themselves paying for other medical treatments, or their insurance company (in a sense, a for-profit "death panel") is denying needed treatments, or there are some that cannot afford any care at all!

I work for a company that provides homecare and hospice. Many patients decide to go on hospice to spare family members the burden of exhorbitant medical costs. They also decide they want to enjoy their remaining time comfortably instead of having impaired living due to medical procedures...but that is another argument. In any case, I know what I am talking about.

Also, in regards to your "as far as I know has a low or no cost medical plan that is 10 times better than "free" healthcare in Canada.": 90% of all facts are made up on the spot. ;-)

See above, "free healthcare" is not free.

This is the funny part. The average person always focuses on small items like a case of beer that hardly make a difference in life but misses all the big costs. If you wanted to make a stronger argument, you could say that the average house price in the US is far lower than it is in Canada, or that luxury vehicles cost much less in the US. These type of items actually make a real difference in the standard of living. The average house price in Toronto is now $668,000 and $1,125,000 in Vancouver. Having said that having lived in both countries, my personal view is if you are low- to middle-class you are better off in Canada, but if you are upper class, you are better off in the US. The minimum wage alone is nearly double the US and even a McDs or Tim Hortons employee gets the same quality healthcare as someone who is in investment banking. If you lose your job in the US, your medical insurance is gone, but you always have it in Canada.

However, in Canada, you can simnply die while you are waiting for your turn to be seen by a doctor.

And I can tell you, that if the "death panel" decided that it is not cost effective to continue treatment, then you have to pay out of pocket if you want to continue receving medical care in Canada. My mother in law is paying $200 per shot (7 days a week = $1400/week) for some cancer medicine that government decided they are not covering, even though it is the only thing that keeps her a live.

Also, capital gains are taxed at your income tax rate up to certain amount.

Very true. I came here to write about Xboxes, but yes the US system is untenable. Thank you for your rational remarks. I encounter people who fall through the cracks all the time in the US system. Yes I have stories of people who have become homeless, and people who have died due to the cost of medical treatment for chronic conditions, when they fell between the cracks or lost coverage. Those are the "Death panels".. I am not impressed with Canada's wait lists for specialists now that I am here, so I have to keep on going to American clinics. I am fortunate enough to have health insurance, and have racked up 500,000 in bills so far this year to save my leg, anticipate racking up another 100,000 or so this month. So when my Canadian relatives whine that they had to pay $12 to park at the hospital, I tell them what I owe. There is so much misinformation and propaganda bring spread about health care in the US, but one thing is for certain. You and those you love WILL get sick.

Seconded. I am only back in Canada now because even with US health insurance, I wound up financially ruined after the docs found tumors on my poor 31 year old body. It was devastating to have what little safety net I had come crashing down. And most Americans are in the same boat, probably even worse off than I was. Man, is Vancouver expensive though. I use SD and Amazon Prime and refuse to buy anything here.
