Seems good. For $20, not expecting blazing speed, but 64GB is pretty slick.

Per the web page, writing speed is 4 MB/S. That's slow.

From Newegg reviewer for exact same model.
Pros: Good looking thumb drive. Quite decent write speeds -- it averages close to 22 MB/sec over USB2 connection. Cons: Dismal write speeds -- 4.68 MB/sec. That's about 50% slower than I would expect from mass-market oriented product. Other Thoughts: NTFS formatted capacity will be approx 59.6 GB Lowe's : Giving me free shit with their 20-minute guarantee since 2008 !!

This flash drive is model SDCZ36-064G-A11. There aren't any reviews on this particular model on Newegg.
Here's one review from Amaz0n: "There's not much else to say. The capacity is good, but reading from it is painfully slow and writing to it is even worse. Your hair will turn gray waiting for your files to copy. I have a 4GB Kingston that is much, much faster. I've read that buying thumb drives is dicey because there are many counterfeit items out there, built with inferior chips. I don't think this is one of them though, because I bought it from a well-known brick-and-mortar store. I wish I hadn't bought this thing. I wouldn't take another even for free. " |

I have one of these, reads about 20 mb/s, but writes about 5 mb/s.

I have the same exact model and it's write speeds are 3-4MB/s.
Build quality is pretty decent but write speeds are very bad. I bought it for $30 in the beginning of this year. |
