seems like a pretty good price but we have a 10x10 tent and there is no way six people are sleeping in it, so I would say this is probably only good for like three people.

These tent size ratings are always based on a tight side by side squeeze for the most part. I have a Eureka tetragon 2 person tent that has a ~ 5'x7' footprint and had 3 people sleeping in it once. Aside from getting kicked in the head, it technically worked. So I can see 6 people squeezing in a 10x10. I stayed in a 10x9 coleman 6 person tent and 6 people managed. Was kind of intimate though.

I agree, I have a similar tent. Lets just call it a 2 man tent or a 1 man/5 woman tent. More than two men and it is uncomfortably cozy.
