Remember when they said .223/5.56 was too cheap to make reloading worth it? Huh. Those days are long gone. Along with $3 a gallon gas.

Got in on this deal last month and they shipped extremely quick. I think I ordered around 9pm Eastern time and got it two days later. I was a box short so make sure to check if you are ordering an odd number or a high number. A quick call fixed it though. Sign up for their rewards card too. Enough deals like this come around and you can get some free ammo out of it.

This is about as good as it gets for good quality brass .223 cartridges.
The only thing cheaper might be Russian ammo with non-brass cartridge cases. |

Is it just me, or is ammo actually get cheaper as we're getting closer to the election? Either suppliers are catching up with demand or people are concluding that the legislative environment isn't going to change no matter who gets elected.

Most deals cheaper than this are going to either require you to order 1,000 rounds, be reloaded, or be steel cased ammo that has some trade offs. |

If you don't care about reloading, Walmart (at least in my area) has TulAmmo .223 20rd Steel Casing boxes for $4.98. So far has shot wonderfully out of my AR-15 (DPMS Lite-16). Cheaper than Dirt has it for $5.19 per 20rd box, so you save a little bit if you don't despise Walmart.

At 30 cents a round, this is a pretty good price for brass .223 that is pretty highly rated. I've never had any malfunctions with PMC.. and generally hear good things from others.
That said.. this is still pretty weak ammo and if you need a hot cartridge, look elsewhere. I believe PMC .223 chronos around 2900-2950fps. While other 223 "brandname" loads measure between 3000-3100. My DD 14.5 middy will shoot hotter .223 loads.. but definitely needs full power .223 or 5.56 to cycle correctly. I dont feel like bothering with buffer combo's right now to get it to cycle weaker ammo like this.. but it's definitely something you will want to pay attention too if you've never shot PMC .223 out of your rifle before. |

Neither candidate seems to be a threat to 2nd amendment laws & further gun legislation. So its hard to pull the wool over peoples eyes twice. I'm glad to see people paying attention to facts this time around, instead of falling for fear & hype. As if 30cents a round for brass cased .223 wasnt a good enough deal.. how about Colt 6920's dropping all the way down to $950.
