The SSD is an mSATA form factor, which uses the mSATA/PCI Express slot.
thanks. I figured it out yesterday online, too. We need to take out the keyboard cover in order to install the mSATA. But from the tutorial video it doesn't seem too hard. I am thinking about to buy the mSATA and take away the HD to lighten my laptop.
I need a quick answer on this if possible, as I'm hoping to order this laptop in the next hour or so.
I noticed that the model number for this one is 20994JU. This is not a model currently listed on their website. Does this mean that it's one of the older models? I know that the first Y580 models from this summer had some heat and network issues, so I want to make sure this isn't some older discontinued model that Microsoft just has a surplus of. A Google search of the model number comes up with no results aside from ones linking to this very same offer from Microsoft.
