I can't figure out if that price is for the pair, or for each speaker.

Because they are an amplified set they have to be sold as a pair. Notice the knobs for vol, etc is only on one speaker.

I have these in my kitchen, matched up with a powered sub and an Airport express. It rocks that half of the house!

Word of caution: Don't expect thundering bass from these - the sub IS required if you like ear-bleeding loud music and teeth chattering bass. It was easy to overdrive these in a larger room.

I think your comment may be stupid (in addition to unnecessary). Notice I said may, that is for the reader to decide, I reserve my opinion.
It is patently obvious from the item description that the price is for the pair. Not only (as you mentioned) is there only one set of controls, but:


(1) The description contains the word "monitors" (plural)
(2) The item photograph shows two speakers
(3) The shipping weight is 10LBs...


So had "ogewo" put some thought into things, he would likely have figured out that the price was indeed for the pair.


And therefore cconklin1's comment is his to make, and only calls attention to how little attention "ogewo" paid in the first place. If you don't like what he said, tough sh!t, because the question was pretty lame. I mean seriously... Come on. If I were to call someone a moron for running a stop sign when the sign was in his face, would you attack me and say I wasn't being helpful? I hope not. Maybe if I called someone stupid for changing lanes without a turn signal... you might reprimand me. Or better, if I expressed neutral amazement at someones inability to read an item description... I guess you'd have to slap me on the wrist. What a shame...

I searched the internet (you know, with Google.com) for the following string: "Behringer Speaker MS40" and would you believe it... the first link (The first link!!) took me to the manufacturers page for the speakers... And lo and behold, the manufacturer page showeth not one but TWO speakers (Say it ain't so...!!). ONE more thing our dear "ogewo" could have done to answer his own question.


My point is, RTFM. Maybe if people actually took the time to READ and RESEARCH for themselves, many other people wouldn't have to waste their time addressing, deleting, or replying to questions that are easily self-answerable in a multitude of ways.


So cconklin1 was well within his rights to make his comment, and who the hell are you to tell him to "be helpful or be quiet"? Maybe ogewo should be encouraged/reminded to think a little, and read a little, before asking an obvious question.

Most listings for speakers explicitly say "Single speaker" or "Pair" in the title and\or in the description (see link below). Ambiguously, the title for this listing also says "Speaker" (singular).
