The SOUND quality on these are really good, i have now had them for two months and use them quite a lot. The BUILD quality is what you pay for, the cable is flimsy and i have pulled the earphone apart when changing tips, i was able to push them back together.

I actually find these to be clearer meelec m6 with less bass then even my se215. I give these a 7/10.

Get these over the 8320.

These are junk in my opinion. Every little movement in the wires = tons of cable noise. Worst I have ever had in a headphone.

As an owner of both pairs, the difference between the betaz and the 8320 is night and day. The betaz are in a different league than the 8320s when connected to my galaxy note, which I believe has the same DAC as your S2.

Keep in mind that when both are on sale, the betaz cost twice as much ($7 more) so I can't really complain about the 8320s as for the price they are pretty decent. But in my opinion the betaz are the best phones under $50 and I've owned many pairs from sennheiser, ultimate ears, JVC, etc. I believe the next price point up are the Klipsch S4s @ $50 on sale. A lot of people complain about the build quality of the betaz but I haven't had that problem so I can't speak to that issue.

thats because they're noise isolating earbuds... the better the isolation the more noticeable the cable noise is. These are easily the best earbuds I've ever had. I use these more than my sennheiser HD428 headphones and MX518 earbuds. Hell they're a TON better than the mx518

I have these headphones and love them, but as people have mentioned otherwise the build quality is pretty terrible; the two plastic halves holding the driver come apart easily.

However, I used this [amazon.com] (or if you have any other thin superglue/cyanoacrylate) to apply a coating on top of the junction and this prevents issues with build separation (and also with crackling, which happens when the wires are strained). The result is barely noticeable. I took a picture to show the result. [imgur.com]

Picked these up as a holdover until I can afford a serious set of OTE headphones for gaming. Supposedly these have a very good soundstage for IEM phones, so they will have decent positional audio for gamers. Not as good as a fancy set of open OTE headphones, but at this price they are hard to beat for versatility and sound quality.

Somewhat worried about the build quality, but if they can last me for a couple months of gym and PC gaming, I'll be happy.

Why are these called headphones when they don't go over your head? Shouldn't they be called ear buds/ earphones?
