i am in MD and was redirected to its sister bank. Am I qualified for a free gift by getting a checking account in its sister bank?

It would be great if someone who did the prior promo can tell us whether opening an account leads to a hard pull? Looked at the old thread and didn't find anything definitive.

I just now finished the application and on submit it says to contact branch .. jerk

don't know what the ING trick is, but fine print says: "The direct deposit requirement is limited to Social Security, pension or payroll" |

BTW, for all the people TD'ing the deal because they are unable to replicate - If I understand correctly that you are crapping on the deal because you personally are not in the bank footprint, and for no other reason, you are pretty childish. Appears a legit deal from a legit bank. This space reserved

I've never applied for a checking account that does a hard credit pull. I'd be very surprised if this one did.
