I have other emails for my important info like cc's and bank info and those are not stored on yahoo.

On your best day and your best machine, there's no way you could get all three YahooMail accounts open any faster than what I suggested.

You don't have to hack a password to gain access to an account. Most of the time you can look up peoples reset questions. See the Mat Honan story, at no time did they guess his password. http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/20...n-hacking/

Convince before privacy & security, it's the general public's motto.

With a little extra effort you can secure yourself and make you a much less of a target to loose an account, even if it's not important.

Just click the no thanks, I'll do it later box. I do not, I repeat, I do not have a cellphone. So I have never given Yahoo a telephone number. I have no problem signing into my yahoo email accounts. To the best of my knowledge that dialog box shows up about once a month.

My point being, it's easier and quicker to just click "save and continue" then to go into 3 different browsers just to load different emails.

Well, if they want my log-ins for the survey sites they are more then welcome to it.

Normally yes, but the last 2 days it showed up every time I logged in and on multiple accounts. It is ok now but got annoying. I log in to each account 20+ times a day x3..so you're talking 60+ times a day I was being asked for a mobile number.

I read the article and several others around it and the same topic. No need to regenerate it again. However it looks like you totally missed the point. The point is you don't need to hack someones password to hack an account. Your reset questions are one of the major weak points in most peoples online accounts. Using things like 2 factor authentication, and a cell phone for notification of failed password attempts and reset make your account significantly more secure. While you might not have anything you think of value in your email, to someone else it might be a treasure chest of whatever. It's just best practice to secure all the accounts you own in the best way you can.

You the OP had asked for help, so the people in this thread are trying to help your situation. You don't need to defend your position of a lack luster concern for security and privacy, that's just being part of the mass of society. Even if your email account is unimportant, my guess is its worth this small bit of extra effort to secure it.
