in for one Cooler Master Excalibur ive bought them in the past for 16$ each so 5$ with CA tax is a steal.

I have been waiting for a deal on a fan to mount horizontally. The excalibur seems to be a good fit at first glance, given its barometric ball bearings; however, upon further review it appears that people have experienced excessive noise when mounting this fan horizontally. Anybody else have different results? Otherwise, I guess I will continue to wait.

I've gotten cooler master rebates on fans before, but they denied my Hyper 212+ rebate because of "no upc" - the one thing I couldn't fix (and I could see the missing upc on the box behind me - ie, it was included). So not as reliable as say, a 4myrebate.com. But not xigmatek either where they didn't pay almost *anybody* out for the xigmatek gaia black friday deal.

the excalibur fan is VERY LOUD if u use the molex connector, but does pull a lot of air

otherwise it sounds okay when u connect it as your cpu fan.

At full speed the excalibur fan seems to pull only a bit more air than my corsair fan at full speed that came with my corsair h60,
might not be worth it if you guys want want your computer to be quiet.

I highly recommend the "GentleTyphoon" 120 mm Silent Case Fan from Scythe.

I just installed them in a brand new build and the quality is heck a good.

I installed the 1850 rpm versions, and to be honest with you, they are nearly inaudible.

Other people like the 1450 rpm models or the 1150, 800, or 500.

When I attempted to use Coolermaster Sickle fans on my Antec H20 620, they were way too loud.

I used the "GentleTyphoon" 120 mm Silent Case Fans from Scythe on the Antec H20 620 and it made a world of difference.

To be honest with you, the "GentleTyphoon" 120 mm Silent Case Fans from Scythe are the best I have ever used, and I have tried nearly every type of computer fan available.

PS I posted a pic of my newest build that has the "GentleTyphoon" 120 mm Silent Case Fan from Scythe on the bottom of the case. This pic was taken before I changed out the Coolermaster Sickle 120mm's.

PSS Sometimes the "GentleTyphoon" 120 mm Silent Case Fan from Scythe can be difficult to find due to the very high demand. I was able to find them on sale a while back at NCIX.com. They were selling two packs for $15-$16. It was quite a deal, and I picked up a boatload.
