Got the 40FHDP60 for $270 from Amazon on July 31st. I'd say if you just watch the price on amazon you'll probably find it for at least $300 again. The TV's pretty good. Can't really complain although the faces seem too bright in certain lighting. I tried to adjust settings when I first got the tv but either the problem went away, or I've just gotten used to it. For the price it's a good deal.

TCL or Sceptre? anyone have experience with both brands? there was a similar deal on a 40' LCD Sceptre posted a few days ago.

this is the older model..the new 2012 models have slim bezels and look much better imo.
