Not sure about for-life
Bad place to store photos I'd rather replicate them on two hardrives locally

I'm glad this thread was brought up again. I got in on the +50gb free before but didn't use it because of: #1 -- 100mb file limit... but more so #2 -- desktop sync only available to paying users. with #2 now available to free users, this is now a viable option to use as another photo backup solution.
this will give me some piece of mind that my photos will be in one more off-site location. perhaps I'm paranoid about losing photos (I've lost about a year's worth almost a decade ago), but I have my photos on my hard drive, an external backup (automatic weekly), the mirror of that external backup (manual every 2-3 months), as well as synced to my Skydrive (25gb free + 20gb paid).
to prevent duplication of data on my drive -- I save my photos by default into my Skydrive folder (great album viewing online + on iphone), and then I simply made a symbolic link of my Skydrive folder inside my Box folder. for the heck of it, I also have my Dropbox symbolically linked inside the Box folder, as well as other misc folders that I don't feel like directly relocating.
I got in during a previous deal for 50gb at Box. For some reason, I thought my account was restricted to using it via an android/mobile device. I just logged in via my laptop and they offered to synch with it.
PS I have been using it 2 synch my titanium backups.
