Even funnier is cause I re-re-learned this just the other day, I said it here and the Mods deleted my comment.

We're all scared of our testes yes. But for those who aren't and suspect they could be melatonin deficient (which happens as you age) there are quite a few documented positive effects of melatonin. This is not medical advice, just pointing out the data.

My doctor, along with many other life extension advocates, recommends taking 6+mg per night, every night, just for the health benefits. Many studies have been published in recent years showing the benefits of melatonin, aside from its effects as a sleep aid.

And this is a bad price.

I've used the Source Naturals Peppermint 2.5 mg for over a year now and couldn't be happier. Its usually 6 cents a tab on Amazon. If I take one every night, it comes out to $1.80 per month. Much cheaper than the $10/mo I used to pay for generic Ambien. Plus, melatonin doesn't make me do weird things like Ambien (i.e. seeing shadow people).

It's back up to $24.25

Don't worry young guys. There will be a point in your life when you gladly exchange the risk of shrunken testes for a good nights sleep.

Don't worry, take as much of this stuff as you want. Then, when SHTF and you can't pull yourself out of bed even to take a piss, search for a SD on some cortisol (or crack if you're in to pipes) and just cancel it all out! See, we can all have tiny little nuggets, chase our ill-begotten health symptoms with "natural" chemicals and save a TON of money doing it! :yay:

While great for falling asleep and staying asleep this stuff's given me the worst nightmares I've ever had. Too bad I couldn't wake up in the middle of those.

Worth noting melatonin is one of those less is more things. If you are new to using melatonin or have used it with meh results it's worth tinkering with how much you take. I assumed I would need the 5mg since so many things don't work for me and I got crap results. Tried it again a few years later after having done some research (Instructions are relevant, who knew?) and I get much better results now using 1.5-3mg.

Can't seem to beat the miserable hangover after I take it, no matter the dosage.
