I second to that, most reputed Jeans company like Levi's, True Religion, Buffalo and Ernest Swen keep their sizes really consistent that is the reason I don't hesitant to buy them online especially in deals, I never run into wrong size jeans only if you know before hand what fits you right.

Their fit should be consistent within each product line (501, 514, etc). The good thing about denim companies like Levis is that they keep their fit the same, only varying the colors, wash, pockets, etc. So you just have to go to the store once, try em all on to see what fits you like, and you can just order confidently off the web from then on.

The bad thing is that even if it is the same size and wash but made in different country, the size varies.
You never know what they are going to send you when you order online.
I've had 559's from Bangladesh, Mexico, Cambodia, Columbia, Lesotho and something else I think. All were a little different.

The fit can actually vary depending on the manufacturing country. The ones made in Mexico fit different than the ones made in Sri Lanka. I have pairs that the inseam and waist fit differently. It can be a crap shoot.

This is not true.In my own experience and based on reviews I have read, 514's often fit differently.

This is sadly not true with Levi's. I used to love their 507 (low-rise slim boot), then they discontinued it about a year ago, and once their Outlet stores stopped stocking them, I decided to try the 527 (billed only as bootcut). Turns out, some of the 527's are bootcut, and some are slim boot (pretty much identical to the previous 507). The labeling on them is inconsistent as well, with the newer ones actually being called "slim boot" and the (I guess) older stock just being "boot".

I bought a few pairs of 527s from their Outlet store in the beginning of summer, and they were slim boot. Then the ones I ordered from them online a couple months ago were regular boot, but they made no distinction on the site (and didn't offer an alternative slim boot).

CSB, I know. But just saying you may want to beware. I only buy them in-store now and actually try them on.

Not even close. Last time I ordered the same style/size in several different colors and it was like they came from different planets. No fit consistency whatsoever.

Rarely have I ever been able to get Levi Jeans from the web. They only have super model size jeans and real men sizes are never in stock.

Save yourself some money, Sam's Club has Levi jeans, dark, stone wash, and regular for much less....plus no shipping cost!
