Current games generally don't mind having only 1 gb at lower resolutions. However, some do take advantage of the extra ram already and Tom's suggest going for 2. This price cut may be to combat the 650ti a little more perhaps? |

So newegg says this needs a 500 watt PSU, is that true? 3D mark says it has a 130tdp. [futuremark.com]. Seems like you should be able to get away with a smaller psu right? I have a 380 watt from the from the antec htpc type case over the summer. Is it enough to power one of these cards and a sandy or ivy bridge cpu and a matx mobo? Also does anyone know if the heat is super high on these cards. I am between one of these or a 7770 which hasn't seemed to go on sale for <$100 lately.
Any input is appreciated. Id plan on playing some games with this obviously but not anything crazy. I just want to know if it would be feasible to have this card in that antec case I linked. Or if I should stick to looking for a 7770. |

However, since then BF3, Crysis 2, and Guild Wars 2 have entered benchmark suites. So I'm not so certain about that 1GB vs. 2GB thing now, but at least it's nearly right. This deal sounds pretty ridiculously fantastic in my opinion. |
