Here's some good comparison charts and reviews for various powerline models. It looks like the gigabit port helps when heavy amount of data is going both ways simultaneously, i.e. not so much when only up or down. The Zyxel's top the 500Mbps TrendNet and Actiontec models by noticable amount.

Got four of these at home and just picked up another two. I've had good results with these, but as with any powerline adapter results will vary depending on the wiring layout and any interference in your home wiring.
