Far fewer problems than the Samsung/Seagates that have required firmware upgrades. A shame they knocked back the warranty to two years. They used to be 3.

I dont see how this is a hot deal. 15% isnt that much of a discount. At least they are trying though. I used to see these for $70-$80 before all the crap happened.

these were sold for $85 a month or two back. Hold on if you don't need one now.

5400 RPM is not a bad speed, most of the consumer laptops have hard disks with the
same RPM. They run a little slower as boot drives. They are great as Data Drives.
But this is for guys who really need fast computers, for most us who use it
for browser, chat, microsoft office, etc. we will see not much of a difference.

Looking through feedback on Newegg's site, it appears that this drive is using Advanced Format and not suitable for use with Windows XP.
