These are very good locks. Reliable, user friendly, secure (they have stronger components than your typical run-of-the-mill deadbolt), and the battery lasts well over a year.
Too bad they only have just this color available with the lower pricing. |

So on the fence... I need a new lock set, and I see other similar schlage models in the same price range (10-15 more dollars or so).
Was this really a $200+ lock? |

$119 at Lowes and cheaper at some other online places. Not as cheap as $74.62 though.

If you want brush nickel, THIS [amazon.com] similar Schlage model is $86. I would also buy a larger strike place and use 3" screws to reinforce the door frames. I also use a little drill bit and carefully drill a tiny hole next to the latch mechanism (when it's in a lock position) so I can put a tiny nail with a string attached to it when I am home.
