I received a mailer for Comcast Xfinity Performance Internet 19.99 per month for 12 months with 1 year contract or Blast Plus for $49.99 per month for 6 months ends 10/21/12. The only thing I saw here is one ending in 9/23. It might just be NE area, but I called 1-877-397-9782 and I got in woot. Of course they try to sell you the world (bundles, etc). I declined even the self-install kit (paying for shipping for cables and splitter), and told them I purchased my own DOCSIS 3.0 modem. Motorola SB6121 Staples ~$54.99 with PM (Amazon and coupon) plus cost of coupon. I attached the letter so you can read the rest.

On a side note, I HATE how arrogant Verizon Reps are when I called to make sure I'm no longer in a contract. This reps even refers to himself as Mr. ____. I should have given my name as such Mr. Wynn, lol Here's what came out of his mouth:

1. He KNOWS all about the Comcast promos and there is NO $19.99 Internet
2. FIOS is dedicated speed, Comcast shared with neighborhood
3. FIOS has unlimited download, Comcast has cap limitation
4. I won't be paying only $19.99. Uh hello, don't they charge tax and FCC fees as well? They even increased their rental cost of $2 each.
5. He's sorry that I'm downgrading my service

Well, I said "thank you, good bye" and hanged up before he finished whatever he wanted to say.

similar experience, am an existing customer. After my previous promo expired, was paying $69.95/month for blast internet + basic cable. asked rep for any promotions she said 'no'. spoke for a while, then before I hung up she said ' oh actually there is a blast promo...'

now paying $29.99/month for blast internet + basic cable. had to sign a contract tho...

shot down again in Seattle. I might try again later tonight or over the weekend. Both CS reps said they couldn't see any promotion other then the 49.99 cable/internet for 6 months that I'm currently on. I don't even watch TV (use the Mofu antenna for the little I do watch) but signed up for it because it was cheaper then just internet at the time. The cable box and everything that came with it is still sitting unopend in the box it was shipped to me in. Stick Out Tongue

sounds like they're just being jerks...did you go to "BILLING" on the menu? did they transfer her when you called the 0903 number?

in my experience with comcast, i learnt it is all about persistence..just keep calling over and over, speak to several people and when you find the one offering the deal you are looking for or a better deal, go for it.

when I hear some CSR offering something good but not great, ask them to call you back at certain time and you'd like to check with your roommate/spouse about the deal and they sure have called me back every time.

Its 11/23 and I just found a number that gave me the 19.99 deal for internet only (15Mbps). I am a NEW customer, and I live in PA...and I couldn't be more excited to drop verizon.

The number a comcast rep gave me when I told him what deal I wanted was "469-242-6098"

Its all about their marketing campaigns and what they send out to who. I called and they first tried to sell me the triple play. then the double play, and I politely said no, that I specifically wanted the 19.99 deal for PERFORMANCE internet. Melissa was able to help me, and she was very sweet.

Hope this helps! Smilie
