I received a mailer for Comcast Xfinity Performance Internet 19.99 per month for 12 months with 1 year contract or Blast Plus for $49.99 per month for 6 months ends 10/21/12. The only thing I saw here is one ending in 9/23. It might just be NE area, but I called 1-877-397-9782 and I got in woot. Of course they try to sell you the world (bundles, etc). I declined even the self-install kit (paying for shipping for cables and splitter), and told them I purchased my own DOCSIS 3.0 modem. Motorola SB6121 Staples ~$54.99 with PM (Amazon and coupon) plus cost of coupon. I attached the letter so you can read the rest.

On a side note, I HATE how arrogant Verizon Reps are when I called to make sure I'm no longer in a contract. This reps even refers to himself as Mr. ____. I should have given my name as such Mr. Wynn, lol Here's what came out of his mouth:

1. He KNOWS all about the Comcast promos and there is NO $19.99 Internet
2. FIOS is dedicated speed, Comcast shared with neighborhood
3. FIOS has unlimited download, Comcast has cap limitation
4. I won't be paying only $19.99. Uh hello, don't they charge tax and FCC fees as well? They even increased their rental cost of $2 each.
5. He's sorry that I'm downgrading my service

Well, I said "thank you, good bye" and hanged up before he finished whatever he wanted to say.

Just got the economy 3mbps dl for $14.99 for a year, seattle area. No problems at all. She even offered to waive the install fee if I said I would pick up the install kit, which of course I didn't really need anyways.

Anyone in the Chicago area getting anything like this?

Called several time and all I get offered are the standard 6 month deals that are always available (and aren't really deals).

Was wondering the same thing. Comcast is getting to be too expensive!

I'm an existing customer, I got the "Blast Plus" bundle for $49.99/month for 1 year through chat.

Blast Plus is:

TV: Digital Economy (this is one tier above limited basic, channels like ESPN are NOT included)

INTERNET: Blast

it's plenty fast for me. I don't use netflix or anything like that. Usenet dl's take longer but that isn't a big deal to me.

i got the same 7 months ago with 1 yr promo, but it went up to full price after 6 months without notice. I was really pissed and called back. They said i have no proof showing this is 1 yr deal and no longer honor same price. I said "pull back the phone recording when i signed up but they were unable to do so" =>>> bunch of BS. So guys, make sure to ask for some proof to back you up and call back after 5 months or else your face will be like mine >:-(

i was thinking of switching from my ATT DSL to Comcast as 6mb just doesnt seem worth it when 12mb+ is available. I already have comcast cable, so i wouldnt be a "new customer" for getting the internet?

I had Performance internet 12mbps for 29.95/month for first 6 months. Weeks prior to month 7, which was a few weeks ago, I tried chat a few times to extend the promo time, even offering to sign a 1 year contract- at 29.95 month. Telling them I couldn't afford it, there were other cheaper or similar alternatives. They were absolutely no help.

So actually one thing I forgot to try was setting up a disconnect date, before month 7. Since 7-12 would be 44.99, and after 12 was 62.95. I ended up just calling to cancel just before my billing period began (few weeks ago)- and this older lady did nothing to keep me. No promos available and she would not match a Centurylink/Qwest promo (29.95 month for first 6 months). I am just done w/Comcast for now. They suck. Their sales # that's been calling me twice a day 5 days a week since I cancelled probably would not even honor any promo they gave me- because these incompetantistos don't all use the same computer system apparently. Fortunately I'm in a situation I don't need HSI desperately. Maybe I will call them again in 6 months

by adding HSI, you would be bundling service so you could be eligible for a promo rate but that prob won't last longer than 6 months.

Did you have just blast internet before getting this blast plus promotion?

if yes, are you getting the TV receiver from comcast? Will it have HD and DVR too?

No, I had tv and internet from them previously. Digital economy does not include HD and DVR, Comcast always charges extra for that.

I just got a flyer for TV, Internet and Voice for only $29.99 a month, offer available until 1/20/2013, "no term contract, no early termination fee"

There seem to be a number of caveats, though. It goes up to 109.99 a month for months 13-24, though it seems you can cancel when it goes up.

The fine print does not specify the internet speed, HD DVR service is free for only the first 6 months, etc.

Per item? What a sneaky flyer.

Thanks for the update. Everybody please disregard this offer.
