Just called that number and had the same experience and same 7-10 business days promise. Was told about "system glitch". I wasn't asked which event location I was in. I was asked company name, address, phone number and my name. I had to spell everything and it sounds like she actually wrote it down, not verifying in the event database.

Just called that number, too, and had the same experience and same 7-10 business days promise, and was told about "out of date addresses". I, too, wasn't asked which event location I attended. I was asked company name, address, phone number and my name and email address.
Thanks for the email information, as I did not get one sent to me after attending the Kansas City presentation in November. I've been building a machine, waiting on the Windows 8 to complete it. Thanks! |

Received my Pro 8 Product Key in the mail. It states that if you are running Windows 7, your files, settings, and programs should transfer easily. If you are running XP or Vista, you will have to reinstall programs. Good Luck! Thanks OP for this great find!

Received my Win 8 Product key (after I called TF, etc..). It's small, post card size booklet with code and instructions to download. No disk.

Same here, almost blended in with the junk mail it was so small. From reading it, sounds more like an upgrade only versus a full install but I could be wrong. Of course, I had to call to get it like others have reported. I had a key for the free media center for Win 8 Pro but it expired 1/31. They told me on the phone that if it didn't work that I should call back and they would provide me the name of the event person locally to contact as they did not send me the product when they were suppose to. I guess we will see where that goes. |
