I bought one from amazon 20 days ago for 190, worth every penny. I could probably save $30 by returning it... I guess I'll just keep the one I got. At 145 it's a steal.

I bought this a couple weeks ago. Being a PC tech I was thrilled at first with the device until I went to load my wife's 60GB of pictures. It is unreal how slow the process is. When I say slow I mean as in it would've taken 3 weeks to generate the thumbnails. I went to the Synology forums and this is a known issue with the DS212j. I love everything else about the product. There is a somehwat complicated workaround to disable the issue with the slow loading of photos. After the workaround was performed, the system sat and chugged with 100% cpu usage for hours. I sent it back. Just a word of warning, if you have upwards of 50gb or more of photos I would not recommend this at all.
