I have a set of Craftsman Professional long handled mini-pliers from Sears, love them. I also have a set of their cheapy short ones, not nearly the quality, but they were $5 on clearance after christmas. I hope these are on par with the professional ones at their normal price, otherwise this isn't much of a deal.

Yep. HF stuff tends to be pretty poorly casted in comparison. But it'll work in most cases just fine. But I don't expect to see a ton of 40-year old HF tools in tool boxes like I see with original Craftsman tools.

The question is, who pulled the wool over YOUR eyes? Does China produce a lot of crap on a regular basis? Yes. Do the also have some of the world's top manufacturing facilities? Yes.

America's manufacturing facilities can produce just as shitty a product as China, given the incentive.
