Factor in sales tax and the hassle factor and it's pretty close to Amazon today. I'm not a big fan of sales taxes, I find myself willing to pay a little more to avoid paying the sales taxes (which makes no sense either). At least the money goes to free enterprise !!!

There was a comparable Sony the other day for $399 but personally I don't think a name brand is worth more then $50. I mean - I can remember when everyone said that Vizio was crap and now they are considered one of the better. I think it's the 'Cadillac" syndrome - if you drive a Caddy and it breaks down you just get it fixed and keep your mouth shut because it's a reflection on you -- if you drive a ford escort then you complain about how it's a piece of junk.....all electronics - to me - are a question of the first 90 days - after that it's just playing the averages.....I've had Sony products break down just out of warranty.....

I agree with you, mostly. But Coby is not even in the same category as Vizio. Maybe they're on their way, but Coby has generally been the bottom of the barrel Chinese made garbage. And unlike vizio, coby has their name on anything and everything electronic - hence, they make nothing, they're just a label for poor quality Chinese factories.
