it depends on the store; some stores opted to change up the policy and instead of handing out "gift cards" they handed these "$25 off purchase slips" that you can only use 1 per order. This was because people did the challenge repeatedly or they sold the GC's.

Microsoft store pays their employees on comission, so a salesperson will rarely turn you away for using multiple GC's and might even let you stack the $25 off purchase slips. Even the managers condone it, because microsoft is more concerned about revenue then profit.

Back about 1-2 months ago, you could stack the 20% off and the free xbox 360 promotions (on top of using gift cards, which can be purchased at a discount). The manager said he got an email that day from corporate to stop allowing the stacking, but he told me that he can pretend he didn't read the email yet if I buy the microsoft assure. He told me I could even return it the next day (the warranty) if I wanted.

Just got back from the store and took the "search for $25". Searching the e-store website and making a wish list prior to going to the store was a waste of time. And, yea they charge tax on the $25. Still a good deal though!
They ask for name and email and zip code.

This was the same with me today, I only got a little discount card that was good for anything in the store, no minimum - if you purchased something cheaper you forfeited the amount left.

We grabbed $30 games and paid the difference. Still a good deal.

I really wanted to get a Kinect, but it was $150 in the Microsoft store vs just $110 at Target. Heck it was just $110 even at GameStop.

10-25 is the day before the special holiday Microsoft stores open.

Thats crazy, they must have changed these cards then because the fine print on mine from the windows phone contest says gift cards never expire.

Consider them $25 off any purchase "coupons" instead of gift cards.
