maybe for light duty... otherwise get a Milwaukee SawzAll, I have one and it's awesome.
Cheap/weak tools (both hand & power) are a waste of money IMO unless you're just doing something light and won't be using it much. They quit, break, don't have enough juice, and/or get you stuck in the middle of something at the worst time. Yeah it costs a lot more, but $30 paperweight, or $100+ tool that actually works and gets you through many jobs? I'd rather spend more for something that works on everything I want it to do.
I repped you because this is an awesome deal. I actually looked long and hard at this 6 amp one versus the 12 amp model. I subscribe to usually buying the heavier duty tools than you need, they will last longer and work better.
Not this time. 6 amp is plenty for everything I've thrown at it. The 12 amp is also 5 lbs heavier. Almost double!
The LED lights on it are an awesome idea I haven't seen before either.
So far I've shaved a 2x4 on my fence, cut 3/16 angle iron, a couple half inch bolts and this thing flies through them like butter. I got the correct blades from lowes of course.
I think it is off sale now, but just wanted to comment that the other guys are WRONG. Btw, I bought this 2 wks ago and pricematched it
I can't believe I went so long without one of these.
